Vi-CELL Series Cell Viability Analyzer
All manufacturing samples and Humira special project samples are measured for cell viability, cell density and cell diameter. The Vi-CELL used the trypan blue dye exclusion method for cell analysis.
Centrifuge
The centrifuge is used every day to precipitate the cells and obtain the product secreted in the media.
Cedex Bio Analyzer
The Cedex Bio is an automated analyzer used for the determination of lactate, glucose, glutamine and Immunoglobulin G (IgG) concentrations. These measurements are performed after the sample is centrifuge.
Storage
After the analysis of the samples are collected in micro-tubes and bottles, the samples are then stored at -80 Celsius degrees.
AKTA Chromatography System
This systems is used for protein purification after few days of the samples storing.
CHO cell adaptation and Scale-up Process
The lab scale-bioreactors projects initiate with the CHO cell adaptation in shakers or glass spinners in order to increase the amount of cells for the cell inoculation.
I-Control Bioreactors
These scale-bioreactors of 3 liters are used for the fermentation process of special projects with the objective to optimize the upstream process of Humira production.
Syringe used for Project Daily Sampling
Syringe of different volumes are used to collected the sample from the bioreactors.
ABL 5 Gas Analyzer
The ABL 5 gas analyzer is used to measured the values of pH, carbon dioxide and dissolved oxygen in the samples.
In addition, the Vi-CELL and Cedex Bio Analizer presented above are used to measured the samples for the lab scale bioreactors.
Osmometer
The osmometer analyzes the osmotic strength of the media and cell solution of the bioreactors.
GraviTrap Columns Kit
This columns kit is used for protein purification process for the samples obtained after the harvest* of the bioreactors.
*Harvest process is when we centrifuge the samples and separate the cells from the supernatant.
